In an effort to be a more conscious consumer & waster I started using our shredded junk mail and recycling paper for packing materials for orders. It feels good to make these little changes.

Ooooohhhh! A friend of mine gave me links to places that you can go to opt out of magazines and junk mail that you do not want… for the purpose of making less waste. I’m fairly irritated by all the coupon crap and magazines that I get in my mailbox at the moment.
P.S. When did you put up ll of these posts?! I kept thinking “Where has Kiona Gone?” And then this morning it was like WHAM 42 new posts

Hah! I backdate the timestamp for the 365 pic posts because I want them to show on the day I took the picture.
Can you give me those links you speak of, I get so frustrated too with all the junk. I just learned that 10% of the total paper waste is phonebooks! is there an opt out option for that too? I get so mad at all the phonebooks that pile up at my front door that time of the year, from like 5 different companies, especially because I don’t even use them anymore! That’s what the internets is for!
I’m there with you on the phone books. I never use them and they are a huge waste. I’m not sure if the phone books are included, but I will see if I can find a way to do that also. There’s one lying on my doorstep right now…
