Today the weather wasn’t exactly on my side as pretending it’s spring was concerned. This also caused my energy to take a dive. I know I am driving this point into the ground, but I shall say it again, now that I am so aware of how the weather effects me this time of the year it really is astounding to notice the difference. On a nice bright and sunny day I literally feel like there is just a non stopping bubbling source of fun energy and inspiration and ideas as opposed to a cloudy and rainy and colder day where I just feel like an unmotivated dirty tired slob. From one day to the next! It’s ridiculous.
So today I revved up the ol’ fun engine again by pulling together a collection of the perennials that I plan to plant in our new yard. All of these I have grown before and love enough to bring back.

As you can tell there are more than I could fit into a single collage, so I split them up by seperating out the very low, some ground cover-type perennials. As you can tell I love, really really love Phlox. I love them so for providing an incredibly low maintenance carpet of brilliant color when all else is still brown and boring. And it spreads so well, and cost so little! All gardens need a little bit of Phlox.
There are still a good few of perennials that I have come across that I’d love to add to my garden, but that’s for another day.
