Today the weather wasn’t exactly on my side as pretending it’s spring was concerned. This also caused my energy to take a dive. I know I am driving this point into the ground, but I shall say it again, now that I am so aware of how the weather effects me this time of the [...]

Fortunately weather is also terribly busy pretending it’s spring. This is sending me in a crazy frenzy of gardening fantasizing. Right now I am pulling together pictures of the perennials I plan to plop alover along with other big ticket items such as fencing, pattios, shade providing structures, and other goodies.
Greg and I really need [...]

Since I am now pretending it’s already spring, it’s high time for me to narrow down my list of plants I want to grow in our new garden. There is not a single thing in our yard except for weedy grass and on random tree in the back corner that I have no idea what [...]

So today I dusted off all the ol’ supplies and started planning the flats. I will get [...]

Spring is a coming

We returned to the arboretum again, this time the weather was much more enjoyable. We took the ’self guided winter tour’ this time and it brought us past many encouraging blossoms and colors. One of the gorgeous plants I saw a ton of different varieties of, but that I’ve never heard of was the [...]

I love to make cuttings of the various scattered flowers that are blooming on our yard at any given time, but typically it’s such a scrawny little bunch that it always looks a little odd stuck in a vase. Now earlier I won this great tulip bouquet that was stuck in the great low square [...]
